Der Göttliche Hauch

This was probably one of the most exiting transport i ever had in my live and drive many kind of transportations on my travel on many places .But the Transfer Bangkok to Laos was like that.
Taking th night train to the Lao boarder changing to minibus changing them in a rapid jump off jump on just in some no-name villages just trusting that it would be hopefully the right one .This about 3 times and finally on a litle long boat to get on the Island on the Mekong .

Hbut what elseow you pack 22 People on the back of a minibus more a vegetable truck on 10m2 is a LAO art and if run over the streets your back get really hurt after hours of driving without one centimeter too move even just your legs .But we get on the most chili place in the world the island Don Tet with the small fisher huts guesthouses granite for minimal comfort but what else you need .
About 3 hours you have generator cu rent that makes it hard to charge even you batteries of photo or other equipment you have with you like ipod ect. Internet is there for extreme high prises and even more extreme slow that its make it nearly impossible to upload a Photo to your face book or flicker for your friends .That’s why the blog also miss now some of the nice ambient flir pix that i would like to share too .Next city i will ad them .
Don Tet is about just very close to Cambodian border and some called it the last paradise on earth people and nature is like that and time doesn’t exist here .The most common sentence ” i think i will stay one more day ” on this way many stay quite long here and you see some long mustache backpackers here ,there are no shaving stuff available here to .
So i would like to recommend this place as one of the 3 highlights you must be in Laos but on the other way i would prefer it stays as it is quite and undiscovered with very view truism .

es gibt eine direkte Busverbindung zwischen Ha Noi und Vientiane. Ich bin vor gut einem Jahr die umgekehrte Strecke gefahren. In Vientiane habe ich 250.000 Kip bezahlt, das waren damals etwa 23 Dollar. Die Fahrtzeit (mit Essenspausen) betrug knapp 24 Stunden. Die Fahrt ging ueber den Grenzuebergang Ban Nape/Cau Treo. Dort bekommt man laut Reisefuehrer ein Laos Visum on arrivel. Ueber Abfahrtzeiten in Ha Noi und Preise kann dir sicher jeder Reiseveranstalter in der Altstadt Auskunft geben.
Vientiane hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Eine zwar kleine, aber doch sehr schoene Stadt. Besonders wenn man aus dem lauten Ha Noi kommt, merkt man die wohltuende Ruhe dieser Stadt. Ich weiss nicht, wieviel Zeit du hast. Aber du solltest auf jeden Fall nach Luang Prabang weiterfahren. Wenn du ein Naturliebhaber bist, lohnt sich ein Zwischenstopp in Vang Vieng, gelegen in einer herrlichen Umgebung. Man kann wunderschoene Ausfluege, vor allem in Hoehlen, machen. Um die Hoehlen zu besuchen, muss man aber „wasserfest“ sein, und das nicht nur wegen der Regenzeit. In vielen Hoehlen gibt es Gelegenheit zum Schwimmen. In einer davon sogar zwei natuerliche Rutschbahnen ins Wasser. Zu meinen schoensten Erlebnissen in Laos gehoert ein Ausflug auf dem Nam Xong Fluss. Man kann sich ueber viele Kilometer auf einem LKW-Schlauch den Fluss heruntertreiben lassen (ca 4 Stunden). Auf neudeutsch nennt man das wohl Tubing. Der ganze Spass hat inklusive Transport zum Ausgangspunkt nicht mal einen Euro gekostet. Es war absolut irre. Man ist ganz allein mit sich und der Natur. Auf den Sprung von der beruehmten Haengebruecke (ca 20m) in den Fluss habe ich aber doch lieber verzichtet.
Luang Prabang gehoert zum Weltkulturerbe und ist ohne Zweifel einer der schoensten Plaetze, die ich kenne. Die Stadt bietet viele Sehenswuerdigkeiten und auch in der herrlichen Umgebung kann man viel unternehmen. Ich bin damals laenger dort geblieben, als ich geplant hatte, einfach weil es dort so schoen war.
Wenn du dann noch weiter in die noerdliche Bergwelt vordringen willst, etwa Richtung Luang Namtha, wird das Reisen sehr beschwerlich und man kommt nur langsam vorwaerts. Besonders jetzt in der Regenzeit. Aber die fast menschenleeren Landschaften sind sehr faszinierend. Eine Alternative waere noch die Ebene der Tonkruege bei Phonsavan, eine fuer mich sehr geheimnisvolle Landschaft.
Ich werde auf jeden Fall in den naechsten Jahren noch einmal nach Laos fahren, um auch das noch zu sehen, was ich im Juli/August 2004 nicht mehr geschafft habe (Savannaket, Pakse und den Sueden des Landes).

Ich hatte heute Nacht einen lustigen Traum, den ich Euch hier gerne erzaehlen moechte:
Ich habe in einer Grossstadt, ich glaube irgendwo in Marokko, eine alte Bekannte aus Koeln getroffen, sie ist mir zufaellig auf der Strasse begegnet.

To union project also include map of a major migratory birds flyways. Zoom into the areas where the cases are reported. Most of them are surrounded with dump habitat, lakes, bogs, paddy fields. Look a the dates. Compare with typical dates of bird migration. Think.

Arguably, migratory birds are believed to be the natural reservoir of avian influenza viruses. The birds typically do not become ill when infected with the virus. Domestic poultry, on the other hand, are highly susceptible to epidemics of avian flu viruses.
